Former Gunners captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Adams has gone on to claim that the North London club lack foresight, which has caused the team to go seven years without lifting any silverware.
Arsenal last went on to win a trophy in 2005, when the team went on to win the FA Cup. Since then, the team has been on a downward spiral, and has failed to win anything.
In fact, the team has been losing some of its best players on a season to season basis, with the top performers opting to move out of the team at the end of every season that the team fails to win a trophy in.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Song-c4804 and Robin Van Persie also leaving at the end of the previous season, Adams is confident that the team lack foresight, which has caused all these problems to take place in the first place.
“I never got into the last year of my contract when I was at the club. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Dein, and the people who were running the club, always made sure I had two or three years to run [on my deal]," said Adams.
“They shouldn’t have sold http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 because you need to keep hold of your best players. They made a mistake there, they should have wrapped Robin's contract up earlier.”
"It’s not about finance, they are going to miss Robin’s goals. If you then drop out of the top four then the money [they would have spent on van Persie] would have paid for itself.”
“I can see the fans are frustrated, however I do agree with Arsenal’s principles. No one player is bigger than the club.”
At the moment, the team is on the verge of losing two of its super stars, should they fail to hold contract talks with them.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bacary-Sagna-c7148 are yet to commit their future to the club, and with a number of teams currently looking to sign the players, it is a wonder as to what the future holds for them.
Arsene Wenger has admitted that he would like to keep a hold of the duo, but with no real progress being made in the contract talks, it is anybody’s guess as to just what is going on.
It is now a wait to see just what the future holds in store for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
