Tony Ferguson-Dennis Hallman to be the next fight on Fox 3 – UFC news
Tony Ferguson vs. Dennis Hallman has been announced for UFC on Fox 3.
This is the second fight announced yet for the event that will take place on May 5. The first confirmed fight of the event is between Nate Diaz and Jim Miller.
Tony Ferguson won the TUF 13 recently and this will be his first fight after his triumph. However, it seems like it might be too early to put Ferguson in a bout with one of the most technical and trickiest fighters of the game.
This will be The Ultimate Fighter winner’s third ever lightweight bout since his career’s inception. In his last bout, he defeated Yves Edwards. As for UFC, the organisation is always keen on keeping its viewers entertained to the fullest. UFC on Fox 2 just
ended and now UFC on Fox 3 is on cards.
It should be noted here that the organisation has not yet announced the headline bout for the event. Both of the announced fights are not headline bouts.
As of now, Ferguson holds 13 wins and 2 losses in his portfolio which is good enough to go head to head with the veteran Dennis Hallman. Ferguson was most noticeable during The Ultimate Fighter 13 welterweight scene when the crowd witnessed manifold knockouts
from him especially the knockout victory over Aaron Riley. His last 6 victories have been straight in a row with the most prominent one being a decision victory over Yves Edwards by the end of 2011.
On the other hand, Dennis Hallman holds 51 wins, 14 losses, 2 draws and 1 No Contest decision in his portfolio. He was once among the best fighters of UFC but suddenly went down the rails. He has been in the field for more than 16 years and is known as the
‘Superman’ of UFC.
Moreover, the fighter has more than 40 self-made submission moves in his name and recently he has set an 8-2 win/loss record for his career.
UFC on Fox 2 was enthralling with fights like Bisping vs. Sonnen and others. UFC on Fox 3 until now seems to be reaching the mark, if it does, it will be a second treat from the organisation to its fans around the globe.
