  1. Ray by late round stoppage.

  2. A close and very entertaining fight...

toughguy... I think you're confusing Tony Lopez with Tony Ayala. Tony "The Tiger" Lopez was a talented jr lightweight from Sacramento in the 90's.

  3. LOPEZ WOULD HAVE KNOCKED RAY OUT 1ST ROUND!!

RAY IS TO SMALL... I KNOW LOPEZ HE RUNS A BAIL BOND SERVICE NOW IN SACRAMENTO!

SEEN MOST HIS BOUTS AND HE WAS BRUTAL..

.RAY DIDNT LAST TO LONG DID HE

  4. Ray Mancini by a close decision

  5. Boom, Boom - out go Tony's lights!

  6. Mancini proved he could box if he needed to.  Against Lopez he wouldn't need to.  This fight would be a carbon copy of Ray's fight with Bobby Chacon with Tony lasting just a little longer than Chacon did.

Bobby was weighed down with personal problems with his fiance.  He was also a 130lb coming up.  At his best he was still made to order for Mancini.   Tony Lopez would have been the same.

Mancini by KO in round 7

  7. Mancini easily. Lopez never could pass "maromero" Paez, who was smaller that Mancini.

  8. Ray Mancini in his prime years from 1981-82 wins with ease. His time was short lived but entertaining. To bad the only all time great he fought was Arguello when ray was 20 years old he put up a struggle but was kod in the 14th.

  9. bobby chacon was robbed of the chance to win by richard steele against mancini. we will never know what would have happend. there was no reason to stop that fight, chacon was not hurt and laughing at mancini punches on the ropes. but ray was still a good fighter who gave his all and i pick him to beat lopez in a all out fight.

  10. Tony Lopez was a power punching fighter who had his future ahead of him.  Many felt he would be champion, but unfortunately he turned into a really bad egg doing prison time and ruining what may have been a bright future.  Mancini was a hard punching and tough fighter.  His main weakness was that he got hit too often engaging in many toe to toe exchanges.  He gave the great Alexis Arguello a mighty battle and beat Bobby Chacon.  This would have been a thrilling fight with both men going after ech other from the opening bell.  Showing the heart of a champion, I see Boom Boom coming roaring back after some really tough moments in this fight to prevail by 10th round technical knockout.
