There have been rumors of Dale Jr. bringing Jr. Motorsports into cup, and everyone has heard about Tony's situation with his contract and loyalty to Chevrolet.

  1. And then?

I say, bring em on, giterdunn.

  2. I would be happy to see that happen.  I don't know if they can come together on it though.  I am sure if Tony could get out of his contract and did want to join up with someone, instead of going on his own he would want partial ownership.  Not sure if that would happen, isn't Hendrick already in with JR Motorsports?  I don't know if they would want to split it again.  I hope Tony does go back to Chevrolet it was a good fit.

  3. I thought that Tony was looking for partial ownership or some kind of equity in his next team.  Can't see Junior giving up any part of JR Motorsports, not even to his good buddy Stewart.  But maybe he's not as stingy as his previous car owner.  :  )

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out and where Smoke will end up.  Hope it's in a bowtie!

  4. Tony is not going to be second fiddle to no one not even the great one himself Jr.

  5. Joe Gibbs said he will hold him to his contract so I see this JR deal happening but it will be one messy divorce.

  6. Jr already said he wouldn't put a friend in that car because he knows its going to a struggle at 1st.  That was when people asked about Truex driving it.

I cant see him offering it to Tony either for the same reason.  Tony wants to own a team too so I cant see him taking it.

I still think Tony ends up at Haas/CNC Racing in a Hendrick Chevy as a driver/part owner.

  7. Tony wanted some ownership in his team, but it wouldn't completely surprise me to see a joint venture between he and Dale Jr. evolve.

They are friends outside the track, and are both competitive, driven individuals.

Teaming with Junior has its advantages, actually, any alliance with Junior has its advantages. Junior Motorsports is fairly well established, and let's not forget the Hendrick engines.

    I could see this happening.
