Project 8 is supposed to be a complete dud. G4 TV rated Skate the #1 skating game of the year. Definitely skate, hands down.

I definitely recommend skate. over THP8.  The reasoning is that skate. is much more realistic.  It also makes you feel like YOU did the trick instead of mashig buttons.  The only real problem is that it can get really hard at times (The Mega-Ramp comp. was near impossible when I tried it) but is a lot of fun even when you mess up.  They even make it into a mini-game type thing: how many bones can you break in one fall?!

Skate... more realistic... awesome graphics... and not another Tony Hawk game...
