Too Late???

Question

Hi, i had been taking dance for 5 years and then about 6 months ago i was forced to quit. im getting back into classes in a week or 2 and they offer pointe in one of my classes. I own pointe shoes but i never got to wear them but only a few times, im 19 now, is it too late to get into pointe?

no i started when i was 12 but i think you can still join but put you in a class with like people that are like 14 or 16

No, when I started pointe at 11, there were other students that were like 16 that were just beginning. You could maybe even get private lessons to catch you up to your fellow dancers.

I dont believe it is. My daughter is 13 and her class has just started pointe.  There are girls in her class that are 15-16 that are just starting as well.

To start, the teacher had my daughter wear them daily for a bit and hold on the wall or furniture to build the muscles in her legs.

Watching the girls do pointe has to be one of my favorites of the recitals!
