Too Many Processors Running

Question

My computer is running very slow and I contacted my internet provider (Verizon) and they did as much troubleshooting as they could with no success. They imformed me that there were too many processes running on my computer which is causing it to run very slow. I would love some help in resolving this issue. Thanks a bunch!
