Too late for an annulment?

My husband and I married over two years ago. He's been physically abusive. what are the terms for getting a marriage annulled? Is it too late?

  1. You need grounds for annullment -- usually some legal impediment to the validity of the marriage.  In most states you need no substantial grounds for a divorce other than you want out of the marriage. So divorce is much cheaper, faster & simpler. Talk to a divorce lawyer.  


  2. I would say talk to a lawyer and get the correct area because the answer most likely varies from place to place.  

    The most important thing is to get out of there, if you do not have family or a friend to go to there are many groups that will help you.

    You chould NEVER EVER have to tolerate abuse. Also, starting now be sure to document any abuse and make sure people know about it, it may be embaressing to make it public but it makes it known so that if you press charges (which you ABSOULTLY should) you have a record of it.
