  1. Well.....for serious competitions I think is kind of late.....what I heard I don't think they will allow you to compete with those on your age....but if you start now after few years you can go on an adult competition which is designed especially for people who have started late....it is as much fun as real ones......they even have their own nationals. And you will be able to jump double.....I'm not sure about triples but I believe everything is possible if you have will:).I'm 21,I started figure skating less than a year and I just started working on the last single jump-the axel.....so....go ahead....good luck ^ ^

  2. you are not to late to become a figure skater but if you have been practicing skating you will probably have a great chance

    hope this help :D

  3. I would say its to late. I'm sorry, but i'm 13 and THATS to latee. But I guess if your REALLY commited to it, you could do it. Here are some things you need to do if your totally commited to it. ::

    - Spend $5,000 - $7,000 a year in lessons/skates/sharpening/other

    - Have atleased 3 private classes a week and 1 group

    - Give up eating anything fatty [including cheese/chips/candy/popcorn/  you mosty eat chickan salad with blue cheese/meat.

    - Give up hanging with friends/talking to them outside of school.

    - Give up a normal life

    - Take ballet&gymnastics

This is all if you want to become a serious competitor. You really need to watch you weight also.

  4. As long as you're prepared to practice and for like the cost of the sport you can start no matter how old you are =]  Just be prepared for the time and money that you will need and you'll be fine =]

  5. No way. I think whatever you put your mind to and give your best effort that you will do great. I'm 17 and I think its awesome that you want to try something new. Practice, time and effort will help get you through everything. If you would like to talk more my email is darien_shortman@yahoo.com. I have a work out that could prove useful in leg strength and even a little arm strength. I bet you will do great.

  6. No dont let anyone tell you it is to late! That is messed up so dont listen to them. Just practice hard  and give it your heart and soul! nobody can tell you what your phisical abilitys are so dont give in to the c**p they feed you! Just work hard and give it 100% Heart!

  7. you are 2 years older than me and we both have the same goal and we feel like we are too old to start! i don't think you are too old to start though! that would be different if you were 45 or something and wanted to  be a competitive skater. well i believe if you work really hard and put a lot of practice in it you'll be able to compete in competitions. in i also feel better because in 10 years i want to be in the winter olympics but  i thought i was to old, but i searched up  some of my fave skaters and one of them started in skating in 1992 and went to the 2002 olympics! and Johnny Weir started when he was 12(in 1996) and he went to the 2006 olympics... sorry for going off topic! i just want to tell you that it's not impossible and you aren't too old. and i'm 12 btw... i'll be 13 this year though

  8. You should try.... by some good skates and go to your nearest ice skating rink. Practice some skating and if you like it then get a coach.

  9. You are not too old
