It's this saturday, June 7th, and I haven't really done much to prepare up for it :< (Math II and US History)

Is it too late to buy a book and start studying for it? ._.

  1. I'm taking the exact same tests this weekend, too! I don't think it would be a waste to go get a book and study for it. Just don't cram the night before. The practice tests are only an hour long, so you could do one of both subjects a day until Thursday. That's a lot of practice tests. Just make sure to get a book that explains the answers after the test, so you can study and practice at the same time when you check your answers. Hope this helps!

  2. of course not! that's actually what i'm doing =) i just started studying for sat us history and hve not started physics and math yet. and i'm still shooting for an 800 on all of them. a week is more than enough if you've had a challenging class during the school year, or you've got a good teacher. get a book now and start reading! books are usually short and i finished my history one in two days. good luck! btw both math II and us history have good curves so your score will probably be higher than you think. but us history is hard tho (math is okay)

  3. I'm taking the bio satII that weekend

its not too late to study although it would've been better to start earlier

the only thing you can do now is study and hope it's enough

  4. I'm taking US, World, and Lit that day too! ><

I was wondering the exact same thing yesterday, since I almost bought a book.

I would recommend checking one out in the library or maybe just sitting at the bookstore and reading it there. Review with the materials you already have.

  5. It depends on how well you already know the material. If you've taken AP and done well with that test, then you are probably more than ready for the SAT II. Just take a couple of practice tests to get familiar with the format.

If you just took basic classes but did okay in them, you will have to do some studying until Saturday. Buy a couple of different practice books, take the diagnostic tests in the front, and only read through the reviews for what you absolutely don't get or didn't cover. This is because you have little time. Also, take practice tests as often as you can, regularly. The review book I would recommend for you is Princeton Review. It is not too extensive, but if you know the content pretty well, it's supposed to be good.

On the other hand, if you did really badly in basic classes and you're not really that motivated to put in a lot of effort during this week, then it might not be such a good idea.

Whatever you think about your own capabilities, don't forget to be confident! It helps to think positively. Good luck.
