Too many transfer credit?

I came to the US 2 1/2 years ago.. and I was not sure how the education system worked so.. I took lots of classes... on top of that

I moved to another state so I did some more classes that was required.

I have almost 60 credit hour units done at community colleges..

do you think having that amount of credit hours will affect the admission decision when I apply as a transfer student to a university?

my current GPA is 4.0 if that makes any difference..

  1. This is a good thing! Most Universities only accept junior level transfers...which means 60 units minimum. Check out assist.org for specifics on the institutions you're transferring from and to. Your GPA will get you in to very good schools. Did you take just general education courses or major specific ones as well? Depending on your major, different courses are required for transfer. Talk to an academic counselor or visit your school's transfer center if they have one. Good luck!

  2. You need 60 credits to transfer in as a junior and then you wont have to retake freshman and sophmore courses with that gpa you can get into basically any school.
