Too much DUST!?

Question

okay... I clean my room ALL THE TIME! and my mum and I clean the house too. My mum dusts all the dust away and then the next day... theres even MORE DUST! It happens in my room all the time. We tried vamuming the dust and that helps but the next day later it looks like we never dust our house!

Me and my mum are neat freeks and this bothers us alot. WE barley ever wear are shoes in the house...

So where is ALL This dust coming from! and how do we prevent it !

Fabric in furniture, carpet and opening & closing the doors will contribute to dust. Short of purchasing a air filtering system there isn't much one can do to prevent it. You may consider having the fabric covered furniture and carpet treated with a product called Scotch Guard.

This is best applied by a qualified carpet cleaning service, however there is a aerosol can application the homeowner can use but it doesn't last or do the same as a professional application.

If you live in a rural area next to a gravel road, it will be like that.

Everyone who said living on a gravel or dirt road is correct. Pets will also increase the dust level. Leaving your windows open will also cause a lot of dust as well. Check your air filters, they may need replacing. Also check your vacume. If it has not been cleaned out, or the filters cleaned all it does it blow more of the dust out into the air.

if you live by a gravel road thats probably where its coming from. maybe try keeping the windows shut or somthing

We have the same problem. No matter how hard we clean my house, there is awlays dust. Sometimes it happens because there is dust particles in the air (you know how on a bright sunny day, you can see those dust particles flying, it's those).

My family and I plan to get one of those air purifiers that takes out all the dust in the air. I hear that breathing in such an eviornment can be unhealthy.

all the dust is coming from people. If u have alot of people in ur family or alot of people that come over than that is probably why. If you dont than maybe it is because u sweat or excercise a lot like my family does you will probably get dust. How to prevent it that is kinda hard saying that i dont clean that much and I dont  know all that much about cleaning. Sorry!
