I think kids need to have more work in class than at home

I agree that children these days have way too much homework. I think the main reason is because school systems are in competition with others, to get more funding, supplies etc. from the state government.

I do, currently working on a huge summer assignment... I've been working on this thing since June.

right now cause i have to read two books and write three papers by next thursday.

Depends how much free time some people have, seeing as I live in the middle of nowhere there isn't much to do so I was ok I guess. I must admit that doing homework doing your spare time isn't exactly fair, we go home for a rest not more work!
