Question:

Too much drama in the Olympics?

I am getting tired of logging to the net and hearing about the d**n problems associated with the Olympics.

This one loses her wedding ring... OK it did not bother her.

The Spanish basketball team with the racial slur photo... Punks.

The gymnast that is underage to compete... Can nobody count?!

Give it a rest. Is there no good happening in at the Summer Olympics this year?? Come on!!

Media correspondents' are there reporting this fecal matter! Find some good and report on that. We are tired of hearing about the garbage that nobody cares about.

One voice that just needed to vent on this situation.

  1. Agree with you 100%. Let's just watch and enjoy the Games for what they are.

Sports fans like us will always remember the Olympics for the excitement of the competition, not for the drama targeted to non-sport followers.

  2. anytime the media is involved in something there is gonna be drama. That's all they are good for.

  3. I agree. The d**n media starts so much drama with China. It's pathetic. And people try to use the excuse of the lip syncing girl and fake fireworks and underaged girls to try to prove their point that China is horrible and they are cheaters. I mean seriously. They need to learn how to lose without being whiners.

  4. I agree.

It's totally taking away the spirit of the Olympics.

I'm really disappointed at these olympics.

The Media should be controlled. Not only the US media (who is fueling the drama) , but the European Media (who started this all) and the Chinese Media (which if it wasn't for the Chinese government They would of done more damage).

Athens is always the best city to host the olympics. Athens is simple, beautiful, and it's the birth place of the olympics.

  5. It always has been though for almost every olympics. People will forget about it once the games are over.

  6. turn the channel.  i like cartoon network.

  7. drama everyday nothing new....

  8. Anything outside of the arena of competition should be trivial compared to what is going on in the sport.

I would much rather see reporting on a lesser known event than some of the headline stories that have surfaced.

Or even a little more info on how to get involved in a sport.  Where do you go to play competition badminton or ping pong?  Where can I go watch a team handball? That looks like a cross between basketball and hockey.  Should be a great spectator sport.  Never seen it live.

Sadly the networks are shooting to please the "Reality TV" audience, not the sports purist.
