Question:

Too much info?

I just read the Y! article on the Illinois school shooting and I must say, I think they are giving too many details.

Like, when they interviewed a few of the survivors, and they talked about what they were thinking, or what they said at the time of the incident.

For example:

"I heard this girl scream, 'Run, he's reloading the gun!'"

I think stuff like this gives these kids the desire to experience it themselves.

What do you think?

  1. In these cases there can never be too much news.  How people react in a terrifying situation could help a person survive a similar incident in the future.  We are in the age of the terrorist.

  2. You are correct and that's whats wrong with our society. We glorify things like this! and we glorify people like paris hilton and britney spears and sports figures who cheat to win! And that is a sad and depressing part of our culture now! Look at MTV for example I remember this channel showing nothing but music, now they have show's where the biggest issue of the day is if this dress or shirt looks hott? and should I take my ferrari or my bmw to starbucks? and our children watch this and think this is real life! And look at cartoons now! if you can find them they are all violent or have some japanese theme to them instead of the moral messages that t.v. shows in the 80's used to have. If our goverment would being worrying about the USA instead of a country h**l bent on destroying itself then maybe this country would be better off!
