Hi, I'm 35, going on 36 and looking to go to Auz at Christmas. What's the chance I will be able to get a Working Holiday Visa and find some work while i'm there? Or am I already over the hill?!

  1. There is no such thing as a working holiday visa ..you are not allowed to work in the USA with out authorization from the USA government .. vacation is vacation not work ...

  2. sorry the cutoff age for a working holiday visa  is 30

  3. According to http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-... you must not have turned 31 before you apply so looks like that is out but maybe there is some other way you can do it?  If you are only planning on short term, you can try to find something under the table.  If you want to immigrate, you have to look for ways you can do that legally.

  4. Because you're over 30, there is no way you'll be able to get a working holiday visa - the age rules are completely inflexible.

If you want to come to Oz and work, you will have to get some kind of skilled work visa. For that, your occupation must be listed on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) and you either have to find a sponsoring employer or pass a points test. For all information, visit our immigration website: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm
