  1. no, you are in you are in you mid thirties, you are not too old to have kids.  Now that your are 35 you are at higher risk but not too old at all.  You will be in your early 50's when your baby is out of high school, you are no where near too old.

  2. not to old as long as the menopause stays away form age 35 and up it starts

  3. Your never too old for babies!

  4. ur not to old my mum was 38 when she had my baby brother hes 3 now and perfect. these days ur either to young or to old just cant win atm congrats and gd luck x

  5. I was 33 when I had my daughter and will be having my second child at the age of 37.

I don't think it is too old to have children at all, because I know that I would not have been as well equipped to cope if I had had children in my early 20s.

It is down to the individual, and if the time is right for you, that is ok.

  6. No, you are not too old to have a child.  Just know that after 35, there are increased risks, such as an increased occurance of Down Syndrome (even higher after 40), diabetes during preganacy, and other preganacy related problems.  I'm assuming since you are asking this question you have not visited your OB/GYN yet?  Make an appointment soon.  He or she will ease your mind and also give you plenty of information on any increased risk.  Just like any pregnant woman, just take care of yourself and follow your doctor's guidelines.  We are women, we are suppose to have children so your body knows what to do.  Do some research online and talk to other moms.  Good luck and you will be just fine!

  7. I was 35 when i fell pregnant with my 3rd child, though she wasnt planned i made sure i looked after myself and really looked forward to having a baby around the house again.

If i could I would have another one but hubby who is 42 isnt so keen lol.

  8. No you are not.

    Enjoy!

    I had my 1st at 33, 2nd at 35, 3rd & 4th at 36.  4 boys.

  9. I had my first child at 37 and have just had my fourth at 43 after telling myself I wouldn't be having children in my forties!

Congratulations.  Your biggest problem will be deciding when to stop!  I have now!

  10. No way, I think it's great. Mid-30's really isn't old. Congrats!

  11. no your absolutly fine! its perfectly normal, what would be wrong is having your baby at the age of around 50. you will have most of your life to spend with the child.. congratulations on the pregnancy!

  12. Over 35 you will be considered "high risk" but don't let that worry you.  I had my last 2 kids at 36 and 38.  Your medical team will probably give you the option of an amniosyntesis and give you "genetic counseling" to provide information on various genetic disorders that can arise when a woman bears a child after 35.

God blessed you - you are far from too old.  Enjoy!

  13. Well there are certain risks when you are pregnant at this age, for example, your child is at a much higher risk for having Down Syndrome, and you have the risk of having a very difficult pregnancy (gestational diabetes, underweight baby...) but if you want kids at this age go for it. Just be weary of the risks.

  14. No you are not too old!  I'm 32 and my partner is 38 - our daughter is 10 months old and we plan to have at least one more.  My Mum was 45 when she had me and everything was fine!  Kids keep you young, anyway!

  15. I'd say 40 is a bit too old to have kids, but 35 is fine. I see it as, when you're child is 20, you'll be 55, so you've still got a lot of youth in you to handle a young child to a teenager.

I don't mean to offend anyone in their 40's who have children, I just see it as if a person has a child in their 40's, they'd be 50 with a 10 year old. My grandparents became grandparents in the 40's as both them and my parents had us in their early 20's - and to be honest, even if they were fun and spoiling like grandparents should be, they all still found myself and my siblings hard work, so I do wonder how a someone who has a child in their 40's cope....

But to the actual point, you're still in you're 30's, you've had a great life for you (unlike mums in their 20's) so you're now ready to settle down. Its a sensible age.

  16. I dont think you are too old. My mom had me when she was 33 and there was nothing wrong with that. If you were 10 years older I would say yes- but you still have a while for that : )

  17. No you are not to old to have children. You waited when you both were ready to have children. It fine.. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry about your age.

  18. It's fine.

  19. Well, its a little too late now to be worrying about this dont you think?

If you're happy then fine, who cares?  Just be happy and don't worry about what other people think.

  20. 35 is the old 25, everyone is doing it.  Children are great at any age.

  21. 35 to old!!! my nan had twins at 40 and that was 35 years ago!! I have a cut off point of 36 for any more babys but thats only because i dont want to be in my 40's running around after a toddler. Really its fine! x

  22. NO YOUR NOT TOO OLD!!i'm 32 and just had my first, he is 6 months old.. to be honest, i have alot more patience now, i'm set in my career, i own a home and i'm married..i'm not bashing anyone out there that doesn't have those things, but these are the things i wanted to acomplish before i added a child to my life...and he is the best thing that i ever did!!!

  23. You'll be fine, a lot of people are waiting longer to have children, you're wiser, you've been together longer, and I'm assuming you're more financially prepared. I think it's a smart decision and hope that this philosophy carries on. There are way too many "children raising children" in this world these days. I wish you luck and happiness.

  24. my grandad is 80 odd n he got remarried and now has 2 more kids (in addition to the older ones my dad 49 my aunty 50 and my uncle whos early 40's i think) any way they are 22 and 19 so he would have had them when he was about 60 which will have ment his wife would have been about 40 odd so your never to old well isay that i think its wrong if your a woman over 50 having kids as i dont think that you would have the energy at that age, but then again im not 50 i dont know but i do have 2 kids of my own and i get tired out and im 25

  25. women are in theri sexual prime at 35, so dont worry you are at the perfect age I think, you are mature, but still youthfull enough to be active in your childs life! Congrats and I hope all is well.

  26. No, I don't consider parents to old unless there is a chance that their kids will have to put them in a nursing home after graduation. At 35 you are far away from that.

  27. Of course you're not too old.  Why would you be?  It may take you a bit longer to conceive, but you have every chance of getting pregnant and having a normal preganncy and a healthy baby.
