Too old to learn to play soccer?

i'm 16 years old and i've always had a interest to learn to play soccer on a team but i've never really got around to it. is it to late to learn and join a local team?

It is only too late if you decide its too late.  I think a 16 year old kid could develop some competence in soccer if Dara Torres can win two silver medals at age 41.  NO, YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD.  I find the story of Dara to the greatest gift to come from the games.  It reminds so many of us that we can do more than we imagine.  Join a league.  You will not be younger in four more years.  Now is your time!  Claim it.  Good luck, young person.

Well, I just turned 16 but have been playing "soccer" for only 9 months and I am better than my Brazilian friend.

No it's not late. and you are not too old to learn the soccer. you are at the best age to learn. try hard to go in to a team buddy. i hope you will succeed to a team. dgood luck
