Too old to sleep with stuffed animal?

Ok, wel im 14 and I hav this stuffed bear I sleep with at night... iv had him sins like before i was born cuz my parents got it about 4 months before they had me. Its not like I get scared and cant sleep without him, its just that im sorta sentimental and well i like to keep him. sorta like a tradition-thingy... this a bad thing?

I think it is okay to sleep with a stuffed animal until you are 30 if you wanted.  This about you and your comfort and security.  Your friends won't mind and I sure some of them may sleep with a stuff animal too.

I am a 19 year old guy and I still sleep with a wolf stuffed animal for the same reasons as you and it is not hurting anyone or anything so it is not a bad thing. . . if anything it is more of a good thing because it means something to you and probably helps you sleep, I know it does for me.

no, i'm thirteen and i have a teddy bear i sleep with. i got him as a gift when i was born from a friend of my mom's. i named him teddy and i could never stop sleeping with him. i still sleep with him, although in the morning he always somehow ends up on the floor.

Its not a bad thing.  Just don't keep it up when the girls start coming around.  And don't tell any girls you do that.  They'll say its sweet but then you'll always just be a "friend".

if you like cuddle with it than thats a little weird but if its just on your bed thats not that bad

there's a security blanket for anyone. and the need to be secure, safe and comfortable never grows out of anyone.

We sell stuffed animals for a living and I hear this question all the time.  The main thing I can share with you, as have many of the other responses, is that a huge number of people of all ages sleep with stuffed animals.  Age is not the determining factor.  People are naturally attracted to comforting environments.  Snuggle up and let your stuffed animal buddy help you to remember not to sweat the small stuff.

My sister is 21 and she still sleeps with one too.

yes its a bad thing! you're 14 years old, you don't need toys for god's sake! keep the bear in your cupboard or in the garage somewhere if its precious to you, but don't keep sleeping with it at night. it's pathetic. i'm sorry to say it but its true. ween yourself off it..!

Nah, not at all. I still sleep with a stuffed animal. I don't get scared either. I am in the same situation, and someone can never be too old to sleep with a stuffed animal. :]]

Aww no of course not, it's completely normal to feel sentimental about things. I have a little stuffed puppy I've had since I was a kid, I remember playing with him when I was just a tot. Now I still have him, his fur is all faded and curled up and rough, but I wouldn't give him away for anything. It reminds me of growing up and my family. So no, don't worry about it. If you feel weird about it, keep him next to your bed or across your room where you can see it, so he will be near but you don't feel odd about sleeping with him.
