  1. Are you in the UK?  And, if so, are weddings held at night?  In the US, most weddings are held during the daytime and these dresses are more appropriate for the evening.  However, even in the evening, for a wedding guest, it would be crying out for attention.  And, this would be most unfortunate for the Bride especially since it's her day and not yours.

  2. omg are u serious? you can NOT wear those to a wedding if you are NOT the bride.

  3. I AM IN LOOOVE WITH THE SECOND ONE!defo get the second, because its shorter its more weddin suitable then the longer ones!and prettiest too;)

    hope i helped!enjoy the wedding :)

  4. Yeah I wouldn't get those. Try forever 21 they have really nice dresses.

  5. All of them are totally gorgeous but you have to remember you're not there to outshine the bride and i think you would with the 1st and the 3rd dress but the second i would say is beautiful for a wedding

  6. Never never try to outdo the bride !

you will have so much b/s for the

    rest of your life !.

  7. If you went to a wedding in those dresses, you would be rediculously overdressed. Find something thats simple and not flashy.

  8. they are gorgeous dresses but if i were the bride id ask you to get them possibly without the glitter and in the most understated colours you can

  9. Well, they are all a little too busy, go with something more simple.  Don't take too much attention away from the bride.

  10. it's the brides day, not yours.

something much much more simple will do.

  11. I think their a bit too flashy for a wedding unless your a bridesmaid??

I would try something a bit more understated like a cocktail dress:

  12. Right. See the URL? It says 'prom dress'

If I were the bride, I would NOT want you wearing those.

Edit: I HATE the second one.

  13. yeah, the people are right.

those are prom dresses, as well.

they're too bold, and you don't want that.

why would you want to take away from your cousin?

you wouldn't, but thats what everyone would think you were doing.

  14. If you wore that at my wedding i would kick you out.

its her wedding let the attention be on her(the bride) not you.

  15. They're gorgeous gorgeous dresses! But sorry, too flashy for a wedding - let the bride have her night. Stick to simple hues and silhouettes. It'd be amazing at clubs though, you'd be overdressed in a great way.

  16. the last dress is georgous, but since you are a guest you probably dont want to wear something that really catches everyones attention. (Leave it to the bride! lol!) I think you should try looking at some other dresses that arent tooo formal.

    Try this site.

  17. The last dress looked better than the others if you wearing it to a wedding.

  18. Those are great dresses...for prom.  They're great for prom because everybody's allowed to be screaming for attention.

You could instead get a dress like this:

    http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3003998?Cate...

It's a beautiful dress, but it's not over the top for a wedding.  Plus, if you wanted, you could even get the brighter colored version of it that's on the right hand side of the screen.

However, if you insist on getting one of the prom dresses you gave links to, definitely don't get the second one!  It's simply too prom-ish.  And like one person above me said, try to avoid the glitter.

  19. I take it that you dont like he bride otherwise why would you want to out-shine her

  20. I don't think they're too s**y for a wedding, I just don't think it's fair that you try and take the limelight from the bride.  Think how you would feel if someone turned up to your wedding wearing something like that - I know that I would have been annoyed.  I really hope you reconsider. x

  21. they are far too OTT for someone elses wedding...you might be able to get away with the second one at a push...its lovely.

  22. i  like the dresses but i think you should wear something a little more subtle

    :)

  23. AACTUALLY...

i think those dresses were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

i wore a dress to my uncles wedding simular to the first 1 dress on the first link... i like the first link's style the best!

no one can tell u what to or not to wear

its perfect, besides this is not even tht bad.

    wear iit! u have to!

  24. They are a bit ridiculous for a wedding.  It's screaming for attention, but instead of everyone thinking how great the dress looks, they are going to be thinking what a jerk you are for trying to upstage the bride (hypothetically).

I would go with something more simple and classic.

  25. that night is the brides night.

I'd stick to something more simple, like this:

    http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in...

oh and never wear white, only the bride

  26. you cant wear a prom dress to someone 's wedding.

    simple as that.

this has the right cut and it's the right length. it may not be the particular one you choose, but you have to go by those guidelines.

  27. Hhhm - I'd be flattered u'd spend that much on my wedding but maybe they r a little 2 showey?

  28. the seound 1 is the best out of the three ask ur cousin if it alright first but if it were me i  wouldnt mind but thts my opinion, if u do go for that dress wear it with the exact same hairstyle.

ps.if she does mind u wearing that dress c if they hav it in any subtle colours and then ask ur cousin again

  29. The middle one is fine and very nice. The other two are a  bit too much.

  30. Yes I would think you were trying to show me up

It is HER wedding day all eyes should be on her

They are beautiful dresses but I think they are too flashy for a wedding

  31. agree with the first answer - its a prom dress, prom dresses are quite similar to wedding dresses, and i would kick your butt if you turned up to my special day dressed like that!!

you are a guest, thats it. not the centre of attention. find something else.
