  1. Not too soon.  Good luck!

  2. Not at all I had a friend of mine who got engaged to a girl knowing her for 21 day's and got married and still are. That to me is the all time record.

  3. No it's not too soon, seems about right actually. I do however think 17 is too young for a girl to be engaged and ESPECIALLY engaged to a 21 year old man!!!!!! Why are your parents ok with that? If you have been together for a year, that means you were 16 and he was 20. I don't know what state you're in or what country but that's not appropriate. Not trying to be mean I swear, just think about all your options and make sure you've lived the life you want before you settle down. Good Luck!!

  4. No, just be smart about everything. You have your whole lives ahead of you.

  5. if there happy then they should get married I'm 17 and my fiance 27 we've been together for 2yrs my parents love him two we have our issues but where working through them

  6. nah!! when you know, you just know!! my husband and I got engaged after a month!! that's crazy lol and we are happily married ..he's my best friend and we just knew some how!! :)

  7. I dont know about "too early" to get engaged...but it should be a long engagement. atleast a couple years. That way you still have the happiness of looking forward to a marriage, but if it doesnt work out in a few years, you wont have to go through a divorce.

  8. I think so.  Seventeen is too young to know who you want to spend your life with, and a lot of times when people get engaged planning to get married much later, they end up feeling like they have to go through with the marriage even though they don't want.  My sister got engaged on her 18th birthday and really regretted it afterwards.

  9. She's way too young to be engaged.

  10. If you have to ask, then you're not ready!

  11. Not too soon to get engaged, but way too soon to get married.

Think of it this way, if you still need parental consent, it probably isn't a good idea.
