Too young to be too tired!!!?

I have alost all of the symptoms of Chronic fatigue syndrome. I do not have health insurance and cannot afford to go to the doctor. I am young and want to enjoy my life without severe waves of exhaustion. There will be some days where I will literally wake up, eat breakfast, and go back to bed for two hours because I am so tired, only to need a nap a few hours later! Are there any vitamins or specific foods I should take that can help. I know that exercise and eating right are always helpful, but what are some specifics. Also, I am 22 years old, 5'5, and 125 lbs. (if that info is needed for any reason...)

  1. Fatigue is a non-specific symptom. It is impossible to know what the best treatment would be if you don't know the cause, and there are tons of causes possible.

  2. Sounds like it could be symptoms of depression as well... When I get like that, I drink coffee and stay up, then sleep for four hours at night, then I get myself back on track and can feel like a normal person.

  3. Anemia is a good bet here.

A cheep way to get your iron level checked is go donate blood (or at least go for the iron testing part). They will tell you if it's low!

Look under your lower eyelids (pull them down so you can see where they meet your eye), and check the color. The whole area should be red-pink. Whiteness means you're low in iron.

Pre-natal vitamins have extra iron, as well has a lot of the B-vitamins which can also contribute to tiredness. Take them to try and get your strength up.

Also, it seems like an oxymoron, but getting up and moving around will make you less tired. Even if it's just going for a walk or taking an aerobics class. Start slow, yoga might be a good start.
