Too young to volunteer for animals

Question

I really love animals and i'm looking for something i could do to volunteer/ get experience with animals.

i've had only small animals my whole life and i want to try interacting with bigger animals (like cats&dogs)

i wanted to try the animal shelter, but all of the ones around me say 14 is too young. i wanted to foster kittens but you have to be 16 or 17.'

is there anywhere else i can try? thank you! :D

Where do you live? I am pretty sure any place will let you volunteer as long as you have a parent with you.

well the petsmart near me has kitty adoptions every weekend and u can help with that when ur 13. i go there all thse time i  already have an application but i have one more year to wait.

at most aquariums you can volunteer at 14/15

well rescue a kitten of the side of the street or something either way you helped a little or big animal
