Took 2003 Xr50 engine out of frame, put it back in, and now there is no spark. Please help.

Question

There was a crevice the frame dug into the engine which made the oil leak intensely. I took the engine out of the frame, patched the leak and put it back onto the frame exactly how it came off. Tested and only a little bit of power coming out of the coil. Rechecked all wires, everything is exactly how it was before I took it off, and yes it ran perfectly before. What the h**l happened, cant figure it out. And i put a brand new spark plug in, still nothing. Please help.

It has to be a wire of it was running before you pull it out. Check the the battery cable going to the starter ,make sure it hook-up to the starterand that you have the small wire hooked -up at the starter .Youmight want to recheck the wire's going to the coil Also make sure you have the body ground hooked-up.Check and make sure you did'nt blow a fuse when you removed the engine from the frame.

Check the kill switch,is gas turned on,is engine ignition wire plugged in,are the engine mounting bolts tight making a good ground.

i would bet that you pinched a wire when you put the engine back in. to check the kill switch just unplug it and try to start it.
