I took the NCLEX in Arizona to become an RN, and decided to move on base with my boyfriend in North Carolina... In order to get a job as an RN, will I have to re-take the NCLEX for that state?

  1. You will not have to retake the NCLEX if you already have a license in AZ.   NC and AZ are compact states, which means your license is valid in both states, you just need to contact the NC board of nursing.  http://www.ncbon.com, or the employer you would like to work for.

If you don't have a license yet, you will have to apply for a license in NC.

    good luck!
