Took Pregnancy Test. Confused about results. Help Please! :)?

Question

DH and I are TTC. I am 4 days late with no signs of starting anytime soon and took a HPT this morning (Equate brand). When it was still developing (about 2 mins in), it started to show a faint pink positive line. (Beginning from both ends to meet in the middle) Then it went away and gave a negative. Has anyone else had this happen to them? What does this mean? Is it too soon to tell? I don't know what to think.

I am also having several symptoms as well--

-Bigger; swollen b*****s

-Can't get enough sleep

-Nausea and can't eat certain foods

-Increased need to pee

you should do another test in a few days and see what happens

i think you are and it's just not enough hcg yet. wait another day or two and POAS again ( Pee On A Stick)! Good Luck!

Any 2nd line is a POS test. Test again to be sure since it disappeared? I'm not sure why that would be... i never heard of it happening. Look very closely, its probably still there faintly?

I will suggest  you first to RELAX, then take another test on Thursday just to make sure. But if  it comes again POSITIVE then I will suggest you to go to a clinic and take a free pregnancy test and there they will ask you when was your last menstrual dates you will see from there.BUT if it comes NEGATIVE , but still no signs of your period I will suggest you to wait at least 3 more day and do the test again. BUT if for any reason you think you CAN be pregnant plus have few symptoms then CONGRATULATIONS you can be pregnant and go see a Doctor as soon as you can so you can start taking care of you and the baby... BUT if this is just a false alarm then make sure next time either you take care to avoid unplanned pregnancies or plan your baby with lots of LOVE..  This happened to me with my second baby it took me almost 2 years to get pregnant until one day took a test came out positive, then another came out negative but I had some symptoms too, so I just waited 3 more days and did 2 test with my first morning urine and surprise both POSITIVE, we were so happy we waited for long and planned with love....BUT What ever it is I wish you the BEST !!! you need to wait two days and take another test.  the negative could be accurate or (hopefully) your pregnancy hormones are to low for the test to accurately detect and 24-48 hours make a big difference.

Just do another test in the morning.

Did the control line stay there, it could have been a faulty test.

You're having all the symptoms.  Sounds like you're pregnant.  What I think you're talking about with the test though... is when you pee on the stick, it has to soak through first the yes-or-no field, then the control field which will show a line when it gets wet.  I think you were watching the first field get wet but the test is actually negative.

Not that that means you're not pregnant.  Bigger swollen b*****s are a really good sign!

hmmmmm never heard of that happeneing before maybe a faulty test? your hcg levels double every two days so i would wait two days and test again good luck!
