Took a mains LED clock to India. It worked fine in UK but was losing about 20 mts/day in India. Can I rectify?

It also worked fine in Malaysia and Singapore. The Voltage as well as the frequency cycles per/sec were the same in all countries.

I believe the power in India is notoriously poor.  It may be dropping out at intervals or simply not be at 50 Hz.  20 minutes a day is less than 1.5% slow.
