Question:

Tooth Ache, but which tooth?

I was chewing gum the other day and a big filling came out of my back molar, it didn't hurt at all, and as I don't have a regular dentist i've jsut been being careful not to get food caught in the big rough hole. now my jaw really hurts but the thing is, my back wisdom tooth is comeing in back there too and I don't know if the pain is from my filling falling out tooth, or the wisdom tooth coming in.

I even maybe thought the wisdom tooth coming in put pressure on the other tooth and popped the filling out, but don't know how likely that is.

I don't have dental insurance and dentists cost soo much. Does anyone have any advice? Or any idea if a throbbing jaw pain is more likely my molar or my wisdom tooth? Other than get all my wisdom teeth out... I don't have a few grand in the bank.

Oh, and the gum hasn't swelled up or anything near the filling tooth, but the wisdom tooth is just starting to cut through.

  2. Yeah,

I think the best thing to do is to go to the dentist. That would help!

  3. the thing that's hurts is the wisdom tooth coming in but i recommend you go to a dentist and get that filling back in or you will have a big cavitie and that will hurt plus the wisdom tooth will hurt.

    hoped i helped:)

  4. go to the dentist

  5. Just press each tooth with your finger. Once you press the painful one, you will know. It's also a good idea to visit your dentist, so call and tell him/her it's an emergency.

  8. Hmm maybe try to push with your finger on each tooth and see which one hurts?

It's probably the wisdom tooth but I can't be sure.

When you can afford it, definitely get that filling back in!

    Good luck

  9. Go to the dentists.

  10. Hmm I have been to the dentist's office many times.. but I can't really tell what is the problem there with you.. I think that the bets  thing to do would be going to see your desist.. I'm sorry, I can't be of any help now, but hat sounds painful. good luck. Make sure to rinse your mouth with salt water so that you don't get an infection before you get there.

  11. Have you checked with a dentist for the cost of fillings?

For a large back tooth the filling is usually between $100-$150....most take credit cards and have credit plans....

This is really something you need to get fixed, and then make a budget that includes regular dental visits, if you do it at least once a year these things can be caught while they are small, and simple to fix....and therefore cheaper.
