Well, it's a holiday weekend and I hate to bother my dentist. I know he has a family and is probably trying to spend some time with them.I got a tooth removed on 8/28 and it is now 8/31. I may have a dry socket but I don't have much pain. Just in the morning and even then it is bearable without medication of any kind. My question is when I checked out my gum this morning the socket is a gross brown-grey-green, dead color. Is it infected or is that normal? I tried to look up what a normal socket would look like while healing but couldn't find anything. If it is infected what can I do for it until my check up? Or should I consider this a dental emergency even though I am not really in much pain?
