Tooth Hurts After A Filling.?

well last week I got a filling. I had 2 fillings this year. first time it was ok. but second time which was last week hurt! my dentist said that it was a tough filling but he managed to fill it. Now it hurts alot, the tooth. when I drink cold stuff it hurts and sometimes hot stuff. it hurts at night too before I go to sleep. I'm going to my dentist in a couple of days so please don't tell me I should go there I am, I have an appointment already. but I wanna know why does it hurt? did he do a mistake or something? :(

  1. no it is not dentist mistake it your teeth that is know fully finished by cavity now there is only 1 way is to take it off after that you feel relax & there will be no more pain

    i was a regular patient of this dentistry for about 3 year no 1 knows better about the teeth more than me


  2. I know what you mean, i got a couple a few days ago and they are super duper sensitive. i think its just like that until you get used to it.

  3. If it is the new composite fillings, then this is totally normal. Some pain can last up to 3 months. These fillings are great, because they blend in so well with the tooth, but they can be a pain because, well, they can cause pain! If it was a deep cavity, then that is another reason it could be causing you pain. I wouldn't worry about it. If it hurts that bad, I would drink through a straw, and take an Advil or Tylenol.
