Tooth on top of another tooth?

my back tooth is currently being pushed by a tooth that is growing under it. my dentist told me that i have to get the tooth that is pushing my tooth pulled out. how are they going to pull out a tooth that is underneath a tooth? is it going to hurt?

  1. I had this happen to me, firsthand I believe. It was called an impacted tooth and came from not pulling a baby tooth out. The dentist will probably refer you to an oral surgery. Theres not much to. Then depending on where the tooth is, you might have to get braces. I had to get braces for over 4 years because of it! It was horrible. It took so long because my orthodontist sucked.
