Please help me im in so much pain ]:

last summer, i started having excrustiating pain in my top left tooth, the very last one. i went to the demtist, and they told me it was just my wisdom teeth growing, and they said the pain would subside.

the pain did leave, and didnt hurt until feburary.

in feburary, the dentists told me, its not my wisdom tooth but that it was something else that they didnt know what it was. i left the dentist in pain. then a week later, on that tooth, a bad tasting liquid started squirting out randomly. the dentist just gave me some medicine for infection.

the pain had stopped for a while. it has just started again yesterday. i went to the dentist again today and they told me it was definately not my wisdom teeth growing in because they were still in my jaw. they gave me a shot of anesthesia and told me to come back in one hour, because my dentist was on his lunch break.

i came back in an hour, and my whole mouth was numb, except for that one tooth. the dentist was confused because my tooth was not getting numb. he gave me another shot of anesthesia but still nothing.

i told him i also felt pain when i bit down. he started shaving down my teeth, so when i bite down the two teeth dont touch. but i still felt the pain.

he have me another shot of anesthesia and drilled a hole into the tooth and put a medicated filling into it.

but the pain was still there. my entire mouth was numb, except for that one tooth. he tried one mroe shot, but then said he couldnt give me more because it could be dangerous.

i left teh dentist a couple minutes ago, and the numbing is starting to go away, and the pain in my tooth is getting worse.

can any dentists please help me? ive tried everything

tylenol in the morning, advil in the afternoon, and 5 shots of anesthesia in the dentist. how cna i top this pain

  1. Wow! That sucks. 5 shots of anesthesia and still pain? I think nothing can stop that pain. If you're dentist doesn't know what's wrong then I guess no one knows what's wrong.

  2. If you have an infection your tooth will not get numb no matter how much the doc tries to medicate. You could prolly see a specialist such as Endodontist. Maybe you need a root canal. The liquid that squirted out was prolly a pustul or pus.  Try pushing on it and seeing if more comes out. Usually a foul odor comes along with it.  Try a different dentist. Last resort would  be to pull it out but try every other option first.  Its never good to lose a vital tooth. Get a second opinion. I am just a dental assistant going by what I have experienced.
