Question:

Toothache remedy fast???

I woke up at 1am and haven't been able to get back to sleep. I have the most outrageous toothache that, literally, came from nowhere. I am in so much pain and, obviously, at 4:15am, I cannot go to a dentist. I have read that codeine is perscribed to pregnant women after dental surgery. I am not one to take medications for anything, especially being pregnant, but I am in so much pain. I rinsed with salt water, whiskey and peroxide. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? (I don't have tylenol on hand...)

  1. Do you have any orajel!?  Try that.  If not, run to the store and get it.

    God Bless

  2. clove oil on a cotton bud held on the tooth that hurts

  3. Hot Hot Hot Hot liquid, it'll hurt worse right at first but it'll increase the blood supply to your mouth and that'll help numb it and make it bearable. Try to keep pressure on it and DO NOT take anything for it before clearing it with your doctor.

I rely feel your pain, I spent the last month of my pregnancy with an abscessed molar. They wanted to cut it out but I decided to wait till after my son was born to have the surgery.

Good luck and try to be strong till you can get to your doc tomorrow

  4. I agree with Clare about the clove oil but if you don't have any a whole clove placed on (or in!!!) the tooth is also very effective.

  5. my remedy that always worked for me was

    Mix:

Lemon Juice,Garlic,Salt and a spoon full of water, warm it up a little on the stove, then place it where the tooth hurts, use it just like orajel

i did that for my friend cause he had a huge major tooth pain,,and he thank me for it....couldnt believe that it really worked..good luck
