in Europe, it is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 that the club would have had some exceptional managers commandeering the Liverpool ship.
Liverpool has been relatively stable when it comes to the management, as they have had only 18 different managers during the 119 years since their inception.
From the early times of McKenna and Barclay to the present reign of King Kenny, the club has had the privilege of managers who have given the club their valued services. Hence I will try and rank the top 10 greatest managers that Liverpool has seen.
10. Roy Evans - 1994-1998
In 1974, Roy Evans was a peripheral Liverpool player and was made the reserve team coach at that time. This induction into the staff was conceived by Bob Paisley and the Legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bill-c7610 Shankly. At that time, the Liverpool chairman made a courageous statement
that Evans was an investment for the future and would one day go on to manage Liverpool Football club. The statement did ultimately turn out to be true after 20 years when Evans was appointed manager of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
Having served under five Liverpool managers namely Kenny Dalglish, Joe Fagan, Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly and Graeme Sounes, he assumed the reins of the club and guided them from mid-table to a title challenging top team. With players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robbie-Fowler-c31214 and
Steve McManaman at his disposal, he transformed the team that then went on to become famous for their attacking style of play. He won the 1994-1995 League Cup with Liverpool.
9. John Mckenna and W.E.Barclay - 1894-1896
Barclay and McKenna became the first Liverpool managers when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 departed from Anfield. McKenna coached the team while Barclay handled the organizational matters. The team started with the Lancashire league and won it in their debut season. Scottish
players formed the hub of the team and the rest was formed around them. McKenna and Barclay played a critical part in the growth of the team and were solely responsible for their entry into the National League. They twice won the second division title in 1894
and 1896 and also played one season in the first division before being relegated.
It was during their time that Liverpool football club was starting to get noticed by the country as a genuine football club due to their never-say-die attitude and on-field commitment. These were the people along with John Houlding responsible for the stepping
stone of the club who would go on to achieve greater success.

With only three Liverpool seasons as a manger under his belt, he can be considered one of the better people who got the privilege of managing this historic club. Liverpool was having a disastrous start to the season when they were able to win only two of
their first 11 league matches. He was then appointed in 1919 and was able to help Liverpool end the season in fourth place. He had a second 4th place finish in 1921 and was finally able to win the League Cup in 1922. This was their third League
Cup victory cementing their place in the English League.
