Out side of Paris, what places do you consider to be the best, most interesting, prettiest, out of the ordinary places to go and see in France?

  1. Giverny - home of Monet. Beautiful village where you can visit art museums and go round his home and absolutely stunning gardens (including the water lily bridge). Take the train from Paris St Lazare to Vernon - it is a short bus ride from the station to Giverny.
