With five mega wins under his belt, Richard Hannon is easily the third most successful trainer so far this season. His stable is renowned for creating upsets, and the horseracing lovers have already seen many from him early in the season.
Rougemont brought the first big success to the yard in April. In the hands of Pat Dobbs, the dashing runner stole the show in the £250,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Trophy.
Richard Hannon joined hands with Richard Hughes to clinch three mega triumphs. After Sky Lantern’s brilliant win in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes, Victrix Ludorum brought more happiness to the yard.
Under Richard Hughes, the maverick runner grabbed the winning prize of £166,513 by demonstrating an outstanding act in the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Fillies' Trophy.
After securing a couple of big wins in Great Britain, Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes went to France, where they guided Olympic Glory to a superb 1¼-length victory in the Group 1, Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.
Another huge success came to the yard earlier this month, when Law Enforcement showed a classy act in the Gran Criterium. With 2,643,854 pounds of prize money, Richard Hannon is sharing the podium with John Gosden and Aidan O’Brien.
Another skilful handler is Mark Johnston. He has secured more than 200 victories so far this season. With many greats in the yard, Johnston enjoys a variety of options, and he uses his runners as per the requirement of the conditions.
He is yet to get a Group One this year, but that does not take anything away from him. With total prize money of 2,170,750 pounds, he surely justifies his place at the fourth spot.
Richard Fahey is a fine trainer too, sitting at the fifth place in the list. With 132 victories, 147 seconds, 124 thirds and 144 fourths, he has earned a handsome amount worth 1,922,985 pounds.
His biggest victory of the season came in mid September, when Barefoot Lady, in the hands of D. J. Moran, sealed a classy triumph in the Grade 2, Canadian Stakes. The party is not over yet, and Richard Fahey is all set for many more.
