  1. Alright. If we say that Frans Botha never had the belt (the IBF claims he was not a real champ) and we limit it to the WBA/WBC/IBF belts.....I think the list of candidates looks like Hart, Burns, Willard, Carnera, Johansson, Ernie Terrell, Leon Spinks, John Tate, Page, Tubbs, Berbick, Bonecrusher Smith, Pinklon Thomas, Cotzee, Michael Dokes, Tucker, Douglas, Seldon, Bruno, McCall, Rahman, Ruiz, Maskaev. You'll see a few names missing. I think Jimmy Ellis is really underappreciated. Moorer and Byrd and Witherspoon bounced back from crushing losses to regain belts. While we all remember the Tyson fight, Michael Spinks did have two wins over Holmes (even if they were close) and was the first man to win belts at 175 and heavy. Weaver had a pretty good run after beating Tate.

I think I might take Tubbs off the list-he did give Riddick Bowe one h**l of a fight and  he was always a shrewd boxer (h**l even at 46 he could beat Brian Minto). Bonecrusher was always tough and so was Tony Tucker. McCall.....that meltdown against Lewis was weird but he is a good fighter when on.

So the worst ? I hate ranking fighters before the age of tv etc but Carnera was pretty bad. Terrell never did much for me. Leon Spinks had nothing after losing to Ali. Tate was a waste of talent. Page was a glorified sparring partner (hey he did knock down Iron Mike). Thomas. Coetzee. Berbick. Seldon. Bruno.

I'm tempted to knock Bruno off and put Dokes on.
