Top-20 American players to watch out for in 2012: Part-17
Crane won his PGA Tour card in 2002 and went over to card his maiden victory on the tour at BellSouth Classic in 2003. He was the highest ranked American golfer in February 2006, at the age of 30. Known to be one of the slowest players on the tour, Crane
always ends up having the least spectators watching him in the tour events and usually plays with peace and tranquillity around him.
Crane started off the current season with strong finish at World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship where he finished for a joint ninth. He missed the cut at the Masters, the US Open and the Open Championship before finally winning his
fourth PGA Tour title in October. He failed to make the cut at the Barclays on the FedExCup Playoff Championship and finished for a disappointing joint 61st at the Deutsche Bank Championship thereby failing to qualify for the next leg of the championship.
Crane amassed a total of $1,679,595 in earnings this year, playing with a scoring average of 70.44.
