19. Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid)
Angel Di Maria is the 22-year-old Argentinean that plays from Real Madrid. He started with Rosario Central’s youth academy in 2001 and after climbing the ranks for four years he finally made it in the first team squad in 2005.
After 35 appearances, 6 goals and two seasons he moved to Benfica in 2007 and scored 7 goals in 76 appearances.
Then this winger finally made the move to the Spanish giant Real Madrid in 2010. He has 11 appearances as of yet and has scored 3 goals.
He has also been a part of the Argentinean national team since 2008 playing from the under-23 team to the first team squad. He has made 16 appearances when serving his country on international duty and has scored 4 times in this space.
This Argentinean has been an absolute revelation ever since he moved to Los Blancos as he has been an exemplary winger, crossing, dribbling and has already scored for them.
Because he is so young, it could have taken time for him to settle in one of the biggest clubs in the world but he has done it making it look like child’s play. He quickly made himself integral part of their attack.
The 22-year-old is a regular starter for his national team and played his part in summer’s World Cup. Di Maria has been such a success that the 25 million Euros that the club paid for him look like a bargain price now.
18. Juan Mata (Valencia)
Juan Mata is the 22year-old Spaniard who started his career with Oviedo in 2000 and after 3 years made a move to Real Madrid’s youth academy.
Then in 2006 he went to Real Madrid B and stayed with them for a year giving. In his 39 appearances, he scored 9 goals during the 2006-07 season.
Then in 2007 he made a move to Valencia and is still a part of their squad. He has made 106 appearances for them already and has scored 26 goals.
He has also been a part of the Spanish national squad since 2004 from the under-16 team. Then moving up through seventeen, nineteen, twenty and twenty one team he made it to the national team first squad in 2009 and since then has made 9 appearances for
Spain and scored 3 goals.
Juan Mata is known to most as the crown jewel of Valencia as he has improved drastically in his time there. In spite of players like David Silva and David Villa moving off he is the player that has stayed in the club out of loyalty.
Mata was a part of the Spanish national team that won the World Cup and at only 22 years of age his future in football seems to be very bright.
He has the ability to play upfront; has an amazing speed and dribbling skills and adds a lot to the game. He is an integral part of the team and scored a goal in every four games which is amazing given his position on the field.
His name is one that is very well known in the La Liga and is believed to be one of the most talented youngsters of the Spanish league.
