What are the best technical fights you have ever seen?

Everybody keeps talking about the Palvik-Taylor, Ward-Gatti Fights where the fighters just keep taking shots in their face but what about technical fights give me top five

On top of my head I can think of Hopkins-Wright, the fight when Klitscho only used his left hand the whole round to knock that dude out, Mayweather/De La Hoya.

  1. Cristian Mijares SD Jose Navarro- this fight did not feature any knockdowns and it did not have any moments that really shocked you.  But, it was an excellent fight between two VERY gifted southpaw technicians.  Mijares easily won, but it was competitve throughout and they both busted each other's faces up pretty good.  Mijares defense and combinations were just a bit better, which is why he was able to win.  I could not believe that one judge gave EVERY round to Navarro.

Pernell Whitaker UD James McGirt (first fight)- both fights were good, but I mentioned the first fight because it was more competitive.  This was another fight that did not really have any shocking moments, but both fighters were in excellent condition and it was really fun to watch 2 guys go at it at such a high technical level.  Whitaker won hands down, but everyone started making these excuses about McGirt having an injury, so they fought a rematch and Whitaker won more handily in that fight.

Pernell Whitaker D Julio Cesar Chavez- Whitaker dominated him and the fight was not even close, but the judges somehow scored the fight even.  It was a good fight, mostly because it was so fun to watch Whitaker do his thing and show the world that HE was the best pound for pound fighter on the planet and NOT Chavez.

Cory Spinks UD Zab Judah- everyone remembers the rematch where Zab was super focused and knocked Cory out in his hometown, but the first fight was a very good technical battle between two very skilled and very fast southpaws.  Its hard to imagine that a fight with Cory Spinks as entertaining, but this one was.  The fight was competitve and very close throughout.  In the 11th, Cory surprisingly put Zab down (considering Spinks has NO power), but then in the 12th, Zab returned the favor and put Cory down.  It was real close and evenly contested, but Cory won a deserved decision.  This was probably Cory's last entertaining win.

Roy Jones, Jr. UD James Toney- this was probably Roy's best performance; he showed in this fight that he was a truly great fighter and undoubtedly the pound for pound best in the world.  If anyone was questioning him before the fight, there is no way that could be afterward.  Toney tried to say that he was weight drained, which was true, but when you get DOMINATED like he did, it doesn't matter because he would have lost that fight no matter what shape he was in.  There was no way that Roy would allow himself to be beat that night by ANYBODY.  When Roy was at his peak, like he was in this fight, its real hard to imagine anyone beating him.
