1 – Sachin Tendulkar (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750)
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sachin-Ramesh-Tendulkar-c87800 is a true legend of the game. He has smashed almost every record in the book. He has the highest number of test runs, most number of centuries and many more records. Ominously for bowlers around the planet, Sachin has no plans of
retirement yet.
The “little master” is a delight to watch when in full flow. He is blessed with extreme talent and can tackle any sort of condition masterfully. He has the complete array of shots, be it the front foot cover drive or a back foot pull, Tendulkar has it all.
He has scored runs on every kind of pitches, whether it’s hard, bouncy, slow, turning or damp. His talent knows no boundaries. He may be in his mid 30s but his batting is as brilliant as ever.

2 – Ricky Ponting (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746)
Ricky Ponting is part of the golden generation of Australian cricket. He has won it all and has been instrumental in his team’s domination over the last decade.
Ponting like Tendulkar is the complete package. He is technically very sound and naturally an aggressive player. Like all Australians he is mentally very tough and has wonderful powers of concentration. Ponting’s exquisite pull shot can light up the whole
stadium. He has perhaps the most beautiful on-drive in the game.
Once the Aussie skipper gets settled he is almost unstoppable. Ponting’s biggest attribute is to perform under pressure. He can single-handedly change the course of a Test match. Ponting is one of the most elegant batsmen ever. He has been out of form lately
but as they say, “form is temporary but class is permanent”, and no one can deny the class of the man.

3 – http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Virender-Sehwag-c95429 (India)
Sehwag is a swashbuckling player. He can win a 5-day Test match in a single day. He doesn’t care for any reputations and goes out to play the way he knows best. His scoring rate is staggering; this puts the opposition on the back foot, every time he takes
guard.
Sehwag has minimal footwork but his hand-eye co-ordination is unbelievable. Situations or pitches don’t seem to bother him at all. He is a player that can bring spectators into stadiums.
Remarkably despite such a high risk oriented game, Sehwag has two triple centuries to his name. This clearly indicates that along all his other talents, Sehwag also has a surprisingly wonderful temperament. Sehwag, in form is a nightmare for any bowler on
the planet. He will continue to entertain crowds wherever he plays.

4 – Jacques Kallis (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757)
Kallis is a captain’s delight. He is arguably the best South African batsman ever. Kallis is very reliable.
Once he goes out to bat, he puts a high value on his wicket and very rarely throws a start away. He is a very calm and composed player who seldom takes uncalculated risks. He is comfortable on both front and back foot. He can easily adapt to any condition
and adjust his technique accordingly.
Kallis has never scored a double century despite his excellent concentration, this probably is the only blemish on an otherwise sparkling career. He may change this fact in the future as he is very fit and hungry for success.

5 – Kumara Sangakkara (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758)
Sangakkara is perhaps the best left handed batsman in the world right now. Over the years he has developed into one of the leading batsmen in world cricket.
He has a very unusual technique for a Sri Lankan as he likes to play spinners on the back foot mostly. He does this rather effectively. Sangakkara has the ability to play long innings. He has a very sharp eye and has an immaculate cover drive.
He is a very wristy player and doesn’t forgive anything on his pads. Unlike most subcontinent batsmen, Sangakkara usually performs very well on even fast and bouncy wickets abroad. His fluency and range of shots makes him a formidable opponent. Every bowler
in world cricket now fears the inspirational Sri Lankan captain. And he is getting better with every day.
