Top 5 games of the Chicago Bulls’ power forward Carlos Boozer during the 2010-11 NBA regular season
Carlos Boozer was acquired by the Chicago Bulls from the Utah Jazz this pre-season. The two times NBA All-Star, in his ninth professional year made impression immediately and was very much a key cog in the resurgence of the Bulls this season. Despite missing 23 games this season, due to various injuries, Boozer formed a formidable combination with the league’s MVP Derrick Rose and managed to average 17.5 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game. Here is a review of his top five games during the season.
December 4 vs. Houston Rockets
Playing at home against the Houston Rockets, Carlos Boozer contributed 25 points along with nine rebounds as the Chicago Bulls won the game by 119-116 in overtime. Boozer scored ten points in the first half, by the end of which, the Bulls were leading the game by 56-44. The Rockets however rallied back and reduced the Bulls lead at the end of the third quarter and then went ahead in the final quarter. Boozer came to the rescue though and added 11 points to help his team in tying the game. Rose took over in overtime as the Bulls held on to a win.
December 25 vs. New York Knicks
Boozer played very well and scored game-high 26 points along with massive 19 rebounds, but his performance was outshone by the New York Knicks, who scripted a 103-95 win at the Madison Square Garden. Boozer added seven points in the first quarter and followed with 8 in the second as the Bulls took the lead at the interval. However, the Knick turned the heat on after the break. Boozer scored 11 points more in the game but they proved to be insufficient.
December 28 vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Carlos Boozer gave his one of the best performance of the season by scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds as the Chicago Bulls took over the Milwaukee Bucks at the United Centre, by 90-77.
January 10 vs. Detroit Pistons
Playing at home, Boozer posted 27 points along with eleven rebounds, propelling the Bulls to 95-82 win against Detroit Pistons. The Pistons played very well in the first half of the game and led the game by 55-43. Boozer scored 16 points in the first half. He then added nine more points in the third quarter and brought the Bulls back into the game.
March 30 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Playing at Target Centre, Boozer erupted with a game high 24 points along with 14 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls won carved out a 108-91 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Boozer played tremendously during the entire game. After scoring 12 points in the first half, he exploded with 12 in the third as the Bulls pulled away for good.
