1.) Jason Witten(Cowboys), Best TE in the NFC in my opinion he definitely proved it last year being a very solid option for Romo in the Cowboys 13 win season

2.) Kellen Winslow(Browns), K2 is finally living up to his fathers legacy, he saved the coaches job last year

3.) Antonio Gates(Chargers), the Number one pass option in SD, and he finally is getting help from the WR core with Chambers and Jackson playing on a high level

4.) Ben Watson(Patriots), 16-0 as the starting TE in New England last season he has been cosistantly a big threat guy for Tom Brady, also he has the most heart I have ever seen out of a TE(look up the Patriots-Broncos AFC Divisonal game from a couple of seasons ago)

5.) Chris Cooley(Redskins), Just because he caught a football through a wall(Fantasy league commerical).

1. Antonio Gates - Has great athletic skills to cause match up problems for defenses. He has consistently been the best TE in the league when healthy.

2. Kellen Winslow - Similar to Gates, in that he has the athletic gifts to play like a big WR. Had a great year after suffering some early career injuries, I expect similar numbers again. Could use some help as a blocker.

3. Jason Witten - Big body, a bit less athletic than #1 and #2 on the list but still poses match up issues for defenses. What he is missing in the premier athletic skills dept. he gained in his ability to block.

4. Dallas Clark - Has great statistics and is a solid performer year after year. By far the best route runner and precise TE in the NFL, but thats what you get when you play with Peyton Manning.

5. Jeremy Shockey - Has upper echelon tallent but has not had a great quarterback yet, but I expect his numbers will be career highs with Drew Brees slinging the ball all over the field. Is more of a traditional tight end than the rest of this list, loves blocking and getting dirty.

Note: Whats with all the votes for Vernon Davis? He is always hurt, and has not even come close to living up to his 6th overall draft. All the athletic skills in the world don't help when you are on the bench.
