Sanchez has had a fantastic 2010/11 campaign for Udinese and has become one of the best emerging talents in the continent. The Chilean had an inconsistent start to the campaign but once the manager, Francesco Guidolin, introduced him in a new role behind
the striker, he has been sensational. The 22-year-old scored 12 goals in 27 appearances this season and 10 of those strikes came in the second half of the season, where he played off the main striker. Sanchez has drawn comparisons with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid sensation,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, and he is expected to make the same impact as the Portuguese in a few years. The winger has attracted interest from few of the top European clubs and it will be a tough task for the Zebrette to hold onto the player in the summer transfer
window.
4. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306 (Udinese)
The veteran striker finished the Serie A as the highest goal-scorer with 28 goals. Di Natale and Sanchez formed a deadly attack force and guided the club to UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. The striker’s leadership capabilities
along with his goal-scoring prowess defined the player’s class after the huge impact he made for the Zebras. The 33-year-old rejected a move to Juventus before the start of the 2010/11 season and he proved that he was right to turn down the Turin based club,
who had a dismal campaign.
3. Samuel Eto’o (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan)
The Cameroonian international had one of the best seasons of his career and bagged 37 strikes in the 2010/11 season. Eto’o was the only consistent performer for Inter Milan this season and despite the club’s poor early form, the striker was consistent throughout
the campaign. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056, introduced a new system. His electric pace and positional dominance, once again, proved that he is indeed the best striker in the league.
2. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 (A.C Milan)
Usually when a team wins the title, the plaudits are taken by the attack force, but Thiago Silva was the pivotal factor in guiding his club to win the Scudetto after seven years. The Brazilian is unarguably among the top three defenders in the world today
and he proved it once again this season. The 26-year-old made 39 appearances in all competitions and was influential figure in keeping several clean sheets for the Rossoneri.
1. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 (Napoli)
Nobody knew Palermo were making a big mistake by letting Cavani join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 on loan before the start of the season. The Uruguayan finished the season with 33 goals from 47 matches in all competitions but more than that, he inspired his team to qualify for
the UEFA Champions League after more than two decades. Cavani’s bundles of energy proved that he is a team player and his never say die attitude helped him to convert defeats into victories for his side. Napoli would be jumping with joy after making the deal
permanent for the striker, and that too for a fee of approximately 14 million Pounds – an absolute steal.
It will be interesting to see if these stars can replicate the success and guide their respective clubs to glory in the 2011/12 season. Furthermore, with a host of elite European club’s waiting with burgeoning cheques in their hands, Serie A clubs might
find it hard holding on to the stars of the 2009/10 season.
