    are pretty bitter.

Oh. And Marlins-Rays is pretty good. Almost 7,000 fans arguing about who is better. LOL.

Edit: MrDurden20. Nice to know someone can remember from 3 YEARS ago how bad the Braves/Mets rivalry was.

  12. Red Sox v Yankees

    Cubs v Cardinals

  13. EASILY

    DODGERS AND GIANTS

  14. Yanks vs Redsox

    Dodger vs Giants

    Cubs vs Cards

  15. the only two true rivalries are sox-yankees(hate it, but its true)

and cards-cubs.  these games are always huge and sellouts no matter how good either team is at the time.  all the other ones are phoneys

  16. prolly either yanks v. red sox or, since im from cleveland,  the yanks v. cleveland mosquitos

  17. Cubs and Cards.

Followed closely by the Red Sox - Yankees.

Sorry - but the Tigers and the White Sox just don't have nearly the history the other ones do. For 25 years or so they played in different divisions.

And sorry, but anyone that thinks a match-up between an AL team and an NL team is a rivalry at all really doesn't have their priorities straight. Your rivals should first be teams in your division, then teams in your own league, then maybe the teams in the other league. The Cubs and White Sox are rivals only in a business sense, they are really only competing for fans. Same holds true for the Yankees-Mets, Giants-A's, Dodgers-Angels, Astros-Rangers or any of the so called "natural" rivalries that exist only because of their geographic proximity and the sham that is called "inter-league games".

  18. 1. Yankees/Red Sox

    2. Dodgers/Giants

    3. Phillies/Mets

    4. White Sox/Cubs

    5. Cadnials/Cubs

  19. The Yanks-sox rivalry is a huge soap opera while the Cubs cards rivalry is a traditional battle for bragging and territorial rights.

  20. GIANTS & dodgers.

  21. In this order, these are baseballs biggest rivalries

    1 - Cubs/Cardinals

    2 - Giants/Dodgers

    3 - Yankees/Red Sox

  22. There is a media bias that sets up the Ny boston rivalry.

Cubs and brewers is nuts but the biggest in the midwest is the cubs and the cards.

those 2 teams hate each other.

I am a white sox fan and our biggest is Minnesota, not detroit.

Or Sox cubs, half of the city hates the other half of the city for 2 weekends every single summer.  It is nuts.

  23. The media has nothing to do with a teams rival!!!

Rivals are generally two teams that live in close proximity and/or have been in many close, important games.  No matter what anyone wants to believe, the biggest/top rivalry in Major League Baseball is the NY Yankees vs the Boston Red Sox.  Now, the White Sox vs Cubs/Twins (same division) is huge.  Mets vs Braves is huge.  Dodgers vs Giants is huge (it goes back almost 100 years).  Cards vs Cubs is pretty big.  In the eyes of the fans, of course you are going to say your teams rivalry is the biggest, but rationally thinking about this, the Yankees, Red Sox rivalry is WORLD WIDE!!!

    Edit:

I say huge to these because there are fans whom really believe they are biggest rival...

  24. Yankees-Red Sox

    Cubs-Cards

its not really a "top" rivalry if two teams are "rivals" with a shared team

those two have the most history and storied rivalry games

You can argue for the Mets-Braves or the Dodgers-Giants i feel if you need a 3rd rivalry

but interleague has only been around for a decade or two---how big of a rivalry can you make in that short a time??

and the Brewers were an AL team up until the early 90s, so how can they be bigger rivals with the Cubs/Cards then the Cubs/Cards  are with each other??

  25. Yankees Red Sox

    Cardinals Cubs

  26. Red Sox/Yankees

    Dodgers/Giants

  27. Yankee Red Sox

    Giants and Dodgers

  28. How can two teams that only play 6 games a year be considered a rivalry.

    Best today:

    Yankees/BoSox

    Cards/Cubs

    Phillies/Mets

    All Time:

    Yankees/Bosox

    Brooklyn Dodgers/NY Giants

    Orioles/Washington Senators

  29. Yankees  Red Sox

    Yankees Mets

Yankees and anyone in the way of a 27th championship

  30. well, absolutley no one talks about it, but Twins/Brewers gets pretty heated in the stands sometimes. But I think most of the fights are over the Vikings and Packers.
