Top Gear America Pilot Date?

I am wondering if the air date for the Top Gear America pilot is released yet. I know it will be on NBC, but there's not a lot of info out there about the show, except for the hosts and some pilot info. I am a huge fan of the original British version, and while I'm very skeptical of this American one, I will give it a chance. Also, does anyone know if it will be shot in HD? Thanks.

They are in production now so I`m assuming the pilot will be in the Fall.

The studio segments for the pilot were taped on 26 July 2008 to generally favorable reviews citing close following of the UK version's format.

Along with the official announcement of Top Gear was the announcement of the hosts of the show; Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Stromer.
