Top La Liga Transfer Targets - Part 1
The January transfer window is already 12 days old and so far there have been no marquee signings anywhere across Europe. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 may well be his last.
There still are plenty of transfer targets available across the leagues but such inflated are the prices that clubs are finding it hard to break their bank to land their desired targets.
Listed below are some of the players that are available for cut price and can add immensely to any squad’s value:
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Trezeguet-c10623 (Hercules striker, £2m)
David Trezeguet was once regarded as a lethal goal machine but his stocks have fallen over the years. Currently, the Frenchman is earning his bread and butter playing for recently promoted side Hercules in the Spanish Premiera Liga. Since moving from Juventus to Hercules in the summer of 2010, he has scored 8 goals in 15 matches and still looks in perfect touch on the field.
For a team that does not have a high budget, David is good news as he will be available for a nominal fee of around 2 million pounds. The fact that he is a proven goal scorer in La Liga and the Serie A only adds to his value.
Trezeguet has only been in Alicante for six months but his agent has hinted that the player is not happy there and is looking for a move. For a club like Sunderland or Blackburn in the English Premier league, he may just fit the bill perfectly.
Gaby Milito (Barcelona defender, free)
The elder brother of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166 may have knackered knees but he can still perform at the highest level. Had it not been for his knee injury that kept him out of the game, he would have been the centre of Barcelona defense alongside Carlos Puyol. Available for free, he is the best that is out there and for a team that is looking to add experience to the squad, he may just be the perfect choice.
Milito has already informed the Barcelona management that he is not happy with the limited opportunities that he is getting in Catalunya and wants out. With no finances attached, it only remains a matter of time when he will be bought out.
Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid midfielder, £10m)
When he signed for Real Madrid from Portsmouth he was touted as the best defensive midfielder in the world after Claude Makelele but since then, he has failed to emulate his performances in the La Liga. After the influx of some high profile signings in the summer by Florentino Perez, the Frenchman finds himself surplus to requirements in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
Lassana is a gifted midfielder and can play anywhere across the midfield. For the price tag attached to him, he is not even expensive.
Lassana’s position on the pitch has been taken up by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045 in recent times. With a fit again Kaka, Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria in the squad, it has been hard for him to find his place in the starting 11 at Barnabeau.
There are lots of clubs interested in signing the dynamic Frenchman with Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Essien-c25294 playing in a similar position. Manchester United look to be odd on favourites to land his services.
