Top La Liga Transfer Targets – Part 2
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mahamadou-Diarra-c23077 (Real Madrid midfielder, £4m)
Mahamadou Diarra is another player who finds himself surplus to requirements at the Santiago Barnabeau. Signed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 with Lyon, Mahamadou was regarded as the next big thing but since then,
he has failed to live up to his reputation and has only been making part bit contributions.
The Malian’s contract with the Madrid club expires in the summer and Real will be looking to cash in on him in this transfer window rather than to wait till June and let him go for free. With only a nominal fee attached to his name, there will be plenty
of suitors in the market with Bayern Munich leading the race to sign the midfielder.
There is also interest from the English Premier League with Manchester United, Arsenal, Blackburn and West Ham expressing interest in the player.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royston-Drenthe-c31824 (Real Madrid winger on loan at Hércules, just wages)
Royston Drenthe was another high profile recruit to land the Santiago Barnabeau in the summer of 2010 alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guti-c15452. The dynamic Dutchman is currently playing for Hercules but feels that he still has a
couple of years of good football left in him and is seeking a move away from Alicante.
With signing and transfer fees not an issue, there has been a lot of interest from all corners of the world with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, Blackburn and West Ham included.
Luis Fabiano (Sevilla striker, £10m)
If you discount the talents of the top two in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, the Brazilian striker is the best striker in Spain. Having expressed his desire to stay with Sevilla for another couple of seasons earlier in the summer, it now appears that the striker is looking for
a move.
Back in the summer of 2010, he was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with Manchester United looking to bring in a replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254. But since then, Sir Alex has signed Javier Hernandez and Berbatov also has raised his performances
and is currently the top scorer in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. So, there appears little chance of him moving to Manchester but the other club in Manchester is currently out on the look for any decent talent available in the market. With a fee of only 10 million pounds, he may
be a very attractive catch.
But, the only thing going against the move is the fact that City already have a handsome load of strikers at their disposal and are currently looking to offload Jo to some other club in order to release some finances to bring in some more players. Also,
the situation is not ideal for the Brazilian to join City as first team opportunities there will be very limited in the presence of David Silva, Mario Ballotelli, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roque-Santa-Cruz-c31778 and Carlos Tevez. The striker will surely not be looking forward to a place
on a lavishly assembled City bench.
Antoine Griezmann (Real Sociedad winger, £5m)
Not many people outside Spain know about this twinkle toed winger who dazzles the right flank of the Real Sociedad team. He is only 19 years of age and with the world at his disposal, he is out on the look for a club where he can hone his skills to develop
into a full fledged attacking winger.
Arsenal are interested in bringing the youngster to the Emirates but the paucity of funds at the club and the immediate need of a central defender may just come in his way of playing for Arsene Wenger.
With a fee of only 5 million pounds there is also interest from other corners. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are in with a sniff but also in the picture are Tottenham.
