Top Targets For Real Madrid

With the transfer window drawing to its close, it is only natural that there are a number of rumors and potential transfers floating around. One of the teams linked with most of those transfers is Real Madrid. Here is a look at some players that could potentially be playing for Real Madrid next season.
Mourinho has made his intention of wanting Maicon at Madrid very clear, since the first day that he joined the club. There have been a series of talks going back and forth between the two teams about the player over the course of the past few weeks.
He would be a great addition to the already perfect Madrid squad. In the end however it would be up to the player to decide if he wishes to move to the club or not.
Steven Gerrard had a terrible club and international season this last term. But the midfielder is still as good with the ball as he was in the past. With the numerous changes in the managerial structure at Anfield, Gerrard might be on his way out of the club. If he does go to Madrid he will re join his former team mate, Xabi Alonso. Madrid have recently suggested Gerrard is a little too old to pay such a great deal for, but that might have just been their way to throw off the unwanted media speculation.
Many people thought Schweinsteiger was an overhyped player who couldn’t offer much to the team. But his displays at the World Cup have made all those people eat their words. The German midfielder has shown he possesses a wide skill set and could be handy in any team that he plays for. Many believed he wouldn’t want to part ways with Bayern Munich, but Schweinsteiger responded by saying that he wasn’t married to the club. This could only mean that a move to Madrid might be a possibility in the near future.
If a team wants, speed, strength, heart, technique and a work rate rivaled by none, then they know they don’t need to look any further then Carlos Tevez. The Argentinean striker has been on subliminal form for the club and country recently. With Manchester City still not completely sure about what they want to do and the fact that the Spanish league has grown in reputation over the past, Tevez might just decide to jump ship and join Madrid.
Arguably one of the best defenders in the world at the current moment in time is the Serbian’s wall, Nemanja Vidic. He has been criticized by several United fans over the years who say he is slow and lacks the ability to make decisions.
But they fail to realize how weak the United back line would be without the constant contributions of the Serbian. Madrid would have to pay a handsome amount of money to land their man, but would be more than willing to do so. The capture of the defender would mean the strengthening of the defensive lineup at the San Siro, which is possibly the only weak part of the team.
