Top batters in Major League Baseball in 2013 season – MLB Feature – Part 1
Baseball has various aspects as a game. The two main aspects are the offense and defence or batting and pitching and fielding.
For success to be achieved, it is important that good performance is given in both of these fields. While the pitching unit has the responsibility to keeping the opposing offensive production to a minimum with the help of fielders, batters have to ensure
that they put enough on the board for their defensive unit to be able to hold fort.
Current Major League Baseball season is now more than two months old and we have already seen some spectacular performances from batters who have risen above the rest of the pack. They have done this through extreme hard and dedication and have been instrumental
in getting their teams success.
The numbers validate the praise these hitters are receiving from all baseball quarters who are well aware of the value of the efforts by these batters.
James Loney (Tampa Bay Rays)
The 29-year-old is having one of the best seasons of his career that has entered into its eighth season. He is currently having a batting average of .332 and an impressive .394 on-base percentage.

to further improve the chances of the Tampa Bay Rays to perform better this time around.
Paul Goldschmidt (Arizona Diamondbacks)
The 25-year-old is playing in his third Major League season and is ding rather well. An average of .332 and an on-base percentage of .411is certainly not doing any harm to his or the team’s cause.
In the 60 games that he has thus far played, he has managed an impressive 74 hits. He has batted in 57 runs and has gone deep on 15 occasions already. He has walked 31 times already and has stolen six bases. The numbers certainly point at the makings of
